At 1775 USD it may be a bit pricey, may be due to the fact that it has the much sought after scalloped crown.
The only problem is that it is a 292 movement, and theoretically it should be a 294.
Considering it's a Longines, I don't know if that's a problem or a peculiarity.
Just signed in and saw this... My Holy Grail! 馃グ
But, gone already 馃檨
Anyone here get it? If so, DIBS already!
Note duly taken. If I ever see one (that I am not taking), I will PM you first instead of telling the world,
No, sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough. I took note of it being your holy grail, not of your dibs.
Sadly, I did not buy it.
I thought it was a bit too expensive, and now I am regretting it already.
It's always the same shame.
Expensive one, but wow.

14K case, 22L movement, cool lugs... classic American 50's no-name Longines. These are what got me hooked on Longines. This one too expensive though. Can find good examples with 22L or 23Z(S) movements for 300-500 if you are persistent enough. This one appears to be in great shape though. Tons of complete 22L's out there (I assume due to cases being melted down, much like that poor opal-dial watch you posted recently), as well as parts, so no concerns about keeping them running. I blindly bought "6 Longines movements, all winding and setting fine" for $30 bucks once. 3 were 22L's with attached dials of all sorts!
Here's a 34mm automatic for $200 and accepting offers- it's got traces of wear but a nice, pure understated design - and I can see some lovely lume plots with a warm patina.

Newbie question.
Is that an old redial? Should it look more like this?
