Longines 291 SS with original cyclops crystal and scalloped crown. Best offer available, sold by ex-OFer...

Would have pounced on this if I did not have one in better condition. As it is, I'm seriously thinking of getting a spare! 😜 Someone make an offer quick and save me some money!

That's pretty nice, but like you said, not as nice as yours!

Also, I'm reluctant to buy from Dablitzer, but... I might make a low offer anyway 🙄😁

Did anybody here get this one? Nice '58 Conquest Date @ 12 w/ Power Reserve:

EDIT to add picture of the caliber and inside of the caseback:

It was still under $1040 with 10 seconds to go, then me and about 5 others went after it..🤪.

Final price: $2125!

They're talking about the non-power reserve sold by Alex/dablitzer, not the power reserve model.

I have some concerns referring to this watch.

I haven't bought it yet, just doing my homework.

1. should the original crystal be plain or with magnifying window?
2. the case back - enamel fish with Longines logo or plain?
3. the crown - as pictured or different?

4. markings inside case back: correct or not? (I have suspicions)

1. With - crystal looks correct
2. Enamel with logo - probably polished off
3. Different - the crown on the watch is from a 19AS example - the picture u posted has the correct rare scalloped crown.
4. The double references are certainly puzzling - my gold plated cal 294 power reserve has ref 9034

1) Not all of those crystals came with magnifiers. It might or might not be original. Crystals can be considered normal maintenance items though.
2) This is a presentation watch, designed to take an inscription - none was put on it though. *medallions can't be polished off
3) The bowler crown is correct for that year & specific watch.
4) It's a dual reference because it's a variation of the regular model meant for inscription.
