strawberry = BARRY
transformer hums = HUM
release a bird = FREES

To many of you, a team effort. Well done!

It’s @Canuck delivering on his promise to be more abstruse 😉

@JimInOz ,

I explained the clues in an earlier post. My clues are no more vague than many clues included these rebus puzzles from others, in my opinion. Abstruse, intentionally! But I am constantly amazed at how those who frequent this thread are able to come up with the answers.

Ok, this is a personality, whom you stateside boys will probably know best. He presented a tv program of specific content, in the US, from about the early eighties, which ran for just over a decade.
I don’t know if the series was shown outside of the US at the time, but during the lockdown in the UK, the BBC thought it would be a good idea to air the series here, as they thought it might inspire people, stuck at home and maybe feeling down, to get creative and flex their artistic vent.
He comes across, on screen, as being a bloody nice bloke, and after a bit of googling it seems he was like that in real life.
Anyway, there are few clues in there. I don’t think you’ll need to look too far into the picture clues, as they pretty much tell you everything.

A day of golf and away from the computer...will need to ponder @M'Bob submissions...but, here's one that just popped in to my mind...let's see how it goes.
