Where? When? What is it? Who designed it? Is it still there?

Yes! Montreal Expo, 1967. That means answers to two of the five questions I asked.

Honestly, had to do some research to get these answers (other than 'is it still there?...no, but I didn't realize they moved and repurposed it as the Montreal Biosphere!).

    Where? Montreal
When? '67, but construction was rocky and started around '62-'63
    What? USA Pavilion
    Designer? Buckminster Fuller
Still there? Nope, after attendance tailed off, they repurposed most of the area throughout the late '80's to early '90's

    Montreal, right.
    1967, right,
    Buckminster Fuller, right.
    USA pavilion, right.
Still stand? The Expo site has largely been re-developed, but the information I have is that the geodesic dome still stands.

I stand corrected! I thought they took it down and relocated...after the fire in '76 burned the acrylic off, it sat for a long time, then was converted to the Montreal Biosphere as the other pavilions were demolished and the surrounding area was turned in to parks.
