For my electrician friends

Okay! In Canada, that stuff is called LOOMEX. In the U S it is called ROMEX. Now I see a TRUNK (tree) and ROMEX. Anybody?

You are SO CLOSE! But to earn the coveted gold star, I need the whole answer. Another clue. The rebus is NOT the TITLE of the song. It is the first LINE of the song. Someone, please put him out of his misery! Think KITTENS, plural.

I was afraid that regional variation might be an issue. So if you go to the hardware store and ask for Romex, they will say what kind?

Well @Gav1967, I鈥檇 like to give you a gold star. You really tried. But don鈥檛 feel bad. I鈥檓 only giving half a gold star to @wagudc because without about six hints that I gave, he wouldn鈥檛a got it either ! Call me power drunk 馃榿!

Jack Nicholson

I thought that too, but I couldn't get the sheep piece (herd / flock) so figured I was barking up the wrong tree.
