This clue was:

tour billion (1000x1000x1000) minus i
3 gold bridges

Tourbillon with 3 gold bridges - a famous watch by Girard-Perregaux

which was supposed to lead you to Perregaux.

I had the first one all sorted and decided to play around, and then your second clue had me scratching my head, but it makes sense now.

Well done! You got the first, third, and sixth answers correct! But no award, yet. 😁 I’m headed out for a while, today. But I’ll check back and then decide if I need to dribble out a few hints. (Hint. Book title.)

No need for me to dribble out any clues later on. @Charlemagne1333 aced it! I didn’t know how else to portray the word history, so I used the Roman number for the date the book was published! The movie came out in 1963, and for all these years, it has been a favourite of mine. Albert Finney who portrayed Tom Jones in the movie was a favourite actor of mine. Unfortunately, recently passed away. The envelope, please. The award for solving this rebus puzzle goes to…………..@Charlemagne1333.

Albert Finney who portrayed Tom Jones in the movie was a favourite actor of mine.
He was a fine actor.

My enduring memory of him was his portrayal of Scrooge, in Ronald Neame’s directorial of A Christmas Carol.
I was only a nipper in the 70’s, but it’s funny how some things leave an indelible mark on your memories.

I saw him in Erin Brockovich, Little Orphan Annie, Saturday Night and Sunday Morning, and of course, Tom Jones.

Try this.

You sure that's Jonah Jones? He's playing a cornet.and there's no ring on his ring finger - I reckon it's Rex Stewart. No wonder it made no sense.

When I go to Google images, I get the same picture with both names, Jonah Jones, and Rex Stewart. I guess you can’t trust Google images 100%! Sorry about that.

No worries - just my over-developed pedantry shining through ...and it didn't slow @Charlemagne1333 down at all.

I wonder if Rex Stewart ever played with the Jonah Jones Quartet. The Wikipedia story I read din’t list him as one of the group.

They did look very similar, but Jones always wore a big onyx ring on his left hand and was a trumpet player.

“The course of true love never did run smooth”

I don't get the space ship clue. It will of course become bleedingly obvious once the curtain of dumbness is lifted from my mind.
