Here’s one which is so apropos to the overall theme of our message board. Name the topic of this rebus, and such other information you can suss out about the subject. Probably too easy for you sleuths! The subject of this rebus is not shown in the clues.

Hmmm! No takers. I was certain there would be a barrage of answers, after you all have short circuited your brains answering these last tough ones. No clues on this one. It should be a snap.

@blubarb ,

The “snap” image I posted wasn’t a clue. I said I thought the rebus would be a snap! Anyway, nice try, but you are:

By the way, do not consider the shivering guy as a clue. It is not!

I’m probably way off here.
All I can think of is Ringing the Bull, an old world pub game played around these parts.

Is this @Canuck ’s toughest one yet?

This comment was included in the introduction to this rebus. That’s the only clue you are going to get. Other than the picture clues. @blubarb was about 40% of the way to an answer. Neither Red Skelton nor Freddie the Freeloader is involved in the answer.

As I clicked the Omega Forum icon on my iPad, it occurred to me that the subject of my latest rebus was so far away from being main stream, that it was unfair of me to post such an obscure individual. No sooner had my screen showed the forums, I saw the REBUS forum had a reply. @TasMike nailed it. Belding Dart Bingham, 1812-1878, was the driving force behind the short lived Nashua Watch Co. Bingham is indeed the answer! He showed how he arrived at the answer. You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time! I fooled everybody but @TasMike !

Hint? Hint? I tried hard not to give any hint. To which hint do you refer to, @TasMike ?

That led me down the horology / timepieces path.

Hinting that the subject was from the field of horology was a pretty vague hint. It could have been anyone of a countless number of people. Bingham’s name was not mainstream. The thought processes you went through to assemble his name from those clues astonishes me. I knew his name, so the rebus was easy to put together. But you had to “reverse engineer it” from the clues to arrive at his name. Frequenters of this forum continue to astonish me!
