The play’s the thing… William Shakespear, Hamlet
This one’s been driving me nuts!
With the Shakespeare reference I thought the ants, and honeybee clue might have pointed towards Anthony and Cleopatra, but I know I’m way off.

On Mother’s Day, my personal tribute and thanks to a grossly underrated and talented actress, singer, and comedian. Please post a shot of this lovely woman taken way too early:

The Shakespeare quote simply established the category, it is not his work, but this is…

And the still unsolved “The play’s the thing…”

Ear (elephants ear plant?)
Nest (well, nest)

Wilde (Gila monster)

The
Im (I am speaking into a smart phone)
Port (seaport)
ance (ants)
Of
Bee (be)
Ing (ring)
Ear (elephants ear plant?)
Nest (well, nest)
Oscar (Mayer) it’s the Oscar Meyer hot dog drone
Wilde (Gila monster)

You’ve left off the Atlanta airport “Ants” sculpture, but otherwise golden. The last clue is a scene with Marlin Perkins and Jim Fowler from Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom, but gila monster works!

Well solved I say. 👍

Well, I didn’t completely solve it. I intended to include the “ants” in my antswer (chuckle), but forgot to include it. And I had no clue about the last two clues! I have almost given up on @Darlinboy ’s rebus puzzles. Too tough for me, generally.

A film, that was first shown at the Cannes Film Festival on the 10th May, 1956.

Groundbreaking for its time, for having showcased humankind’s latest scientific endeavors, and documenting how beautiful, and brutal, the natural world can be…

The main focus of this production was wearing one of these…
