These should all have non active based lume. The lacquer was used to stabilize the decomposition of the phosphorous which tends to powder and decompose under UV light. This affects the accuracy of the watch and these were issued to Navigators but could be acquired by the pilots.

My dad (Wing Commander with the RCAF) used a Dato Compax by Universal and the Omega single button. He turned the Omega in as per regulations.
