Reasonable offers are welcome - Up for sale is this great Rodania military issued (RCAF) monopusher dual register chronograph circa late 50s early 60s. The original sterile dial in dual register configuration is good with a few blemishes around the sub dials as shown in the pics. The dial has turned to a beautiful creamy colour. The radium markers do not glow. Hands are NOS replacements found at Perrin's in Toronto. I still have the original hands but they were relumed hence the replacements which are much more appealing.
Case back engravings are sharp and crisp. "Rodania", "RCAF", serial number as well as issue number are clearly visible. Serial number 318 indicates an early issued watch.
The Stainless steel case and case back are in excellent condition with sharp edges. The crown is an unsigned replacement based on my research.
The service history in unknown but this chronograph operates flawlessly and keeps accurate time. The beautifully decorated Venus 175 caliber is the version with a swan's neck regulator. Based on my research these are not as common. As far as I'm concerned, this movement is more interesting and beautiful than the calibres that equip the RCAF Breitling and Omegas.
