Invest the time and effort to shape the screwdrivers (I think you need two, one on each side) so they fit the slot exactly: very slightly narrower than the slot so they don't scrape the screw hole sidewalls, and just the right angle so the tip almost but not quite bottoms out in the slot.

It is very good advice to shape the screwdriver. Most Bergeon blades are too sharp out of the box. Grinding it down by running them along a fine sand paper helps a lot. BTW, none of the speedmaster bracelets need two screwdrivers. There are two separate tiny screws on each side. A floating pin between those two screws that attaches the links to one another.

It should run close to 60. Not to worry, Omega will take care of your watch as it is clearly out of spec...

According to the product sheet, the power reserve is 50 hours.

That's a very conservative number, most will run 60+ hours. Mine certainly does.

Not sure why Omega rates it at 50. All the 3861s I've handled ran over 60 hours.

Can you post your metas results?
It won't show that in the metas results, it's a real world test that I also got 60+ hours like @Evitzee.

My guess is that they under promise and over deliver. My 3861 is never more than +2 sec a day and the METAS standard is up to +5. Therefore, I'm not surprised if you get 60 hours.

The specs are minimum requirements. So it generally just varies by watch. If someone isn’t getting the minimum requirements that would be an issue and require servicing.

Any other owners having an issue with the reported 48 to 60 hour Power Reserve?
Before someone asks: Mine is no where near 36 hours. I know, call the my AD 🙁

No, in fact, I wouldn't even know because I have worn it and wound it every day since Jan 28th when I got it. Sorry to hear fo your issue.

are you sure you wind it properly? I am asking because of I read numerous times that people are winding until they start to feel "resistance" whatever that means, because of they are afraid to "damage" their "luxury" watch. Do you wind until crown stops?

Like most of us this isn't my first Speedmaster. However this is my first cal. 3861. Although I hate to assume, winding a manual movement till the crown stops would be a "little" precarious, to say the least. Is this an improvement for this new movement? Just fully wound it and it didn't break 😀 We'll see what happens. Anybody know for sure?

Manually wound movements are designed to be wound until the crown stops. There is nothing precarious in doing that, that's the way a manual watch works. We have really gone down a rabbit hole as a community if we need a YouTube video on how to wind a manual Speedmaster movement.

I suppose that you could run the chrono continuously and risk additional wear and tear on the movemernt, but why would you need to? As for sizing the bracelet, have an Omega Boutique do it if you live reasonably close to one. If not, find an Omega AD with an in house service department that knows what they're doing. As others have pointed out, it's not rocket science to resize the bracelet but you don't want someone without experience practicing on your watch.

There's nothing "precarious" in using the watch as it was designed - just wind it until it comes to a stop.

After 30 full winds the day before I got a full 30 hours of run time.
40 full winds this morning before I met resistance, so we'll see what we get.

I want to bump the micro adjust smaller, can I use a spring pin tool or do I need something else?
