Is anyone familiar with this type of dial which has embossed metal minute markers? I just love the design and workmanship of it, showing the era of its production

It is the very first I have seen with these raised metal minute markers probably pressed/stamped out from the back!

My question is whether these raised minute markers would appear to have had any radium lume on them as I see some markers darker than others circled in red and others showing the metal marker without it - in green circle.
By the way, it is the best image I have
Any thoughts?????

They should have no radium lume. The dial does appear to have been refinished, though.

As above, that isn't very original so not a great example, just look at the second hand too, looks to have been cut down.

When these dials are repainted, some of the paint fills in the holes around the markers in an irregular way, so some look larger and some look smaller. Very common with IWC dials.

There is no lume.

Definitely a redial without doubt! No question about that ! Interesting point about when they get repainted!

It would be interesting to see a non restored original and if any lume was ever used in those raised minute markers?

Thanks to all so far for input

I think this is called a "pearled" minute track, not uncommon in the 1950's. Here's my Longines:

That is exactly what I was referring to!!! So that is what they call this type of dial !!!! I just love those dials!!. I see them from time to time for sale and sellers usually say minute markers are factory lumed with radium. I only saw raised markers in the metal themselves.. I just had to get the opinion of those with more passion on this topic than just take the word of sellers that would just have them for sale without knowing anything about them Thanks to you ALL for all your responses!!! Much appreciated!!!

Not there. What would be the point of dial radium blobs but none on the hands? Radium lume is easy to spot, those are just metal dots.
