Question - do you take more than one watch with you when travelling?

Be it for work, holiday, vacation? And if so, how do you store your additional watches in transit? I've seen watch rolls for differing numbers of watches, like this from various places:

Are they any good? What do you use? Pics would be nice.

Someone posted in one similar thread about repurposing hard sided sunglass cases (wrap the watch in lots of soft cloth, fit perhaps two per case) which to the part of my brain that's always looking for a cheap functional solution, sounded like a great idea.

My complaint with almost all of these leather rolls is that they seem disproportionately expensive and don't seem to mitigate any crush potential.

Depends.

If I'm traveling for business I generally wear my speedy. If I'm traveling for vacation somewhere warm like the coast I'll take my speedy and my SMPO so I can switch it up.

Similar, I tend to take my speedy on bracelet with me on business travel.

I have a two-watch travel case from Camille Fournet. I love my watchrolls, but as pointed above, they don't really mitigate crush potential. I throw my G-shock in the bag, carry 1 or 2 watches, and wear one.

Based on the stolen watch three in Ft Lauderdale and because of that I always wear a beater watch while travelling or a world timer....Maybe I'm a little cautious

On vacation just one beater watch. That is quite a liberating feel. I highly recommend it. And when you get back you will sigh with relief when you put on a dress watch on leather. The luxury, the comfort!

That is also true ...but fear of theft is my no 1 on my priority list 😀

I use Ziploc bags I received when I order parts from an electronics supplier. Perfect size for a watch. Each watch is individually packed.

If I'm doing a lot of driving I like to wear a Speedy on a rally strap, plus bring a dressy watch for dining out and a beater if I'm going to spend time out in the dirt (I work in the mining biz.)

If I'm flying on a plane I won't wear a Speedy for fear of scratching the crystal on the armrest or seatbelt buckle, but there is almost always a Speedy in my carry-on bag (plus one or two more watches). I carry my watches in a leather+felt 4-watch roll. Here's a shot from a road trip earlier this year with my field watch for the day (lots of rain & mud that day) plus a vintage Breitling chrono and modern Seamaster diver.

Here's a shot from the roll maker's (Wrist & Style) online catalog

2 (one on my wrist - usually GMT or sports watch; the other in my carry-on would be my night/formal watch).
