Travel Case Recommendation

Sorry, but I'll keep going back to the well as long as you keep offering interesting recommendations.

I'm looking for a soft travel case for 2 to 4 watches...could be a roll, but I'm more inclined to go with a medium hard, razor-kit style case similar to those offered by H and B&S, pictured below. Actually, these appear to be identical. So the same little workshop in Italy working around the clock I suppose, and from the same pattern.

Problem is I often wear watches on bracelets or NATO straps (not hard leather straps)...so getting them into the elastic retainers of the recessed area is in many cases futile, and argues for either a roll or a tube, as in this one...

Given the costs of material, labor and (presumably) the quality, I am willing to spend what they're asking. But I wouldn't mind spending less for similar quality ...or possibly  even a little more for much better quality or something with an interesting feature, for example, unicorn summoning.

So I'm asking for recommendations and experiences. I'm not interested in anything PU leather, so most of the options for sale on Amazon are a no-go.

Would you want to consider these? I recently discovered them.

They're hard cases (measuring 8cm diameter, 5cm height), with some padding inside, originally meant for headphones but perfect for vintage watches 40mm and below. I've even managed to fit a 42mm PAM Radiomir into one.

$1 from ebay Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Networkincluding shipping (serious!). You can even choose the colour, so you can travel with 2-3 of them in your bag, colour-coded, and they're easy to chuck into the hotel safe as they're small. They're good for watches with bracelets that can't be 'flattened' to fit a travel case.

I like the 1st soft padded case at the top of the post except for one small concern. It seems that the watches would be positioned with the bracelet doubled back along the case back. my concern is that this could scratch the case back??? Am I mistaken?::confused2::

Clever hack, ...and with something in the middle to prevent the bracelet from doubling over on the crystal, it would work. Problem is I want one thing – not a series of 2 to 3 displaceable things. One thing is easier for tucking inside a safe, or opening on a desk to change straps, or opening to show a TSA agent.

You are not mistaken. Watches on bracelets and NATO straps are not really being catered to with these folios, and that's unfortunate.

    Please pardon this sketch.

For the price of the branded folios I could probably contract a custom "HOLIO" (HOLE-IO?) on Etsy. Maybe that is the way to go.

Count me in for a Holio as long as it's black and orange(because black and orange rule)

Always use this one for my travels. Fits #2 34mm with leather strap without any issues. Soft cloth between them and Bob's your Uncle (not watch).
Metal lining of the case (inside) will prevent for too many eyes looking at it through the scanner at airports.

    And I never understand the metal (....) zippers for a watch-case. ::confused2::

Funny enough, I've been doing the same thing. But the system breaks down if you want more than one or two watches and extra straps, and maybe a springbar tool.

Zipper and zipper teeth are on the outside of the case, and there is a cloth skirt that totally shields it from the inside. Maybe also more reliable and cooler looking than ...a plastic zip-lock. How else could you totally seal a folio style case?
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@Foo2rama Er...not sure why. I am not opposed to a roll of the design you suggested, but it has to be real leather.

I use one of these from Dunhill when travelling. Outrageously expensive but it's looks great and is cheaper than a new genuine Omega leather deployant strap (just). It accommodates 3 watches.
