Pusher question for a 105.012-66

Hi OF!
I've been proposed a nice 105.012-66, deal is ongoing... Not done but, not far...
But something was turning in my head when I saw the watch, looking at its pushers.
Pushers are ok for a 105.012 but....
We where at home, and I took my Bible, MWO, at page 306, 105.012-64&65, because a detail came to my eyes...
On the proposed watch, the "tube" (I don't know the English for that ..) of the start pusher is smaller (its diameter) than the reset pusher tube.
And when I look at this pic in MWO... It is the same...😲

I know that one pusher has been replaced during the watch life. Question is : which one has been replaced...?
The small tube or big tube?...
If you have an idea, feel free to comment.
Tell me also if you think it is an important detail to correct, and if I have a chance to find the right part...

If you don't need to carry out a service anyway I would leave the pusher as it is.

and if I have a chance to find the right part...

Please wait for an experts advise but if I recall correctly there are two different kind of pushers on these mid sixty Speedmasters, one is pressed in the other screwd in or whatever... 😕 So if you want it to be replaced give the watch to an expert only.

Please correct me if that was wrong or on another reference only

Thanks a lot for your answers !
Okay, so no big issue with that, then it won't be a very good reason to lower the price...😁
So... I have to keep on negotiate....😲😲

The case is unpolished, it's a CB, so... Negociation will be tough...😜😜

12.5k€.
For me, it is globally "good" in the speedmaster101 price chart. On some components, maybe even "very good"... (DON, case...)
So... Here I am for the moment...

Here is the beast...:

That’s a nice watch, worth pursuing.

Good luck with the hunt.

I’d definitely not include that box in the price (ie as a buyer if you are looking for reasons to negotiate price, that box would not be something that should add to the price). Pusher...well...yeah. Finding one can be tough...but once found it will be in the low hundreds...and aesthetically wouldn’t turn me off.

Fully agree @eugeneandresson .
(Even if MWO lists that box as a "105.012" one...)(and the seller knows that...😲)
Ok for the pusher: I got the watch in hand, and you're right, it is "acceptable".
But since I noticed that one time, I fear to be obsessed by this detail forever...😡

I have passed on more than a few watches for the very same reason. I find it difficult to find a Speedmaster that ticks all the boxes, at least at that price.

Yes, this case uses both pressed in pushers and screwed in pushers.

There are actually 3 different sets listed...

086ST0089 - pressed in, and discontinued

086ST0022 - pressed in - replacement for above

086ST0007 - screwed in

Cheers, Al

May I ask you which one is the start/stop one and reset one? Is it possible to know only by pictures?
*Reset=big tube=the discontinued I guess.
*Start/reset= pressed or screwed?

A watch that hasn't been messed with with have the same pusher for both start/stop, and reset.

Yes, obviously.

Sorry, I was not clear. Since you say there are 3 versions, I just would like to know if the "small tube" pusher (the start/stop on the pic), is a "pressed" or "screwed" one.

No idea - you would have to look from inside the case to know for sure.

Almost certainly pressed in.

Was there a transition point--either in time or by reference--for the change between screw-in and push-in? Or were both used during a period of time?
