Pusher fell off, is it waterproof without it?

Hi! One of my pushers has fallen off and I can't get a repair anytime soon. Does anyone know if they are water resistant before the repair is done (for hand washing etc)?

😂 you say that but my father in law mowed over his many years ago when the strap pin vibrated out...
