Problems with 9904 Moonphase movement stopping when in winder

After owning the Omega Moonphase 9904 stainless blue dial watch for a couple of years. I just noticed a problem where if it is in the winder and is fully wound, the movement stops. I first thought the movement was not wound but when I manually wind it, it feels like there is alot of resistence. If I shake it a bit it seems to get going and then run properly. Wonder if the anti over wind mechanism is broken? Anyone else have this problem? Seems to run fine after you get it started but if you fully wind automatically or manually it seems to stop.
