Hi all. I was offered a couple of watches which I find rather attractive. The thing is they are rare and only a small niche of collectors (like some among you) are knowledgeable enough to help me understand what I’ve got in front of me:

Omega 33.3:

A “must have” movement for an omega collector. Not 100% sure if dial is original. Case looks tired (as well as movement) if you look it from the back side. Damage at 5 on the dial (I could live with it).

Longines 13ZN:

Another legendary movement. I tend to believe that the dial it’s original but the age of the previous don’t seem to be compatible with the wear of case and movement (dial swapped???).

Can’t seem to find many other watches like this ones online to establish a baseline of “correctiveness”. So I come for your help.

Some photos:

I don´t think that the 33.3 movement looks tired... overall the watch is not bad, but I would be bothered by the dial damage.

It all comes down to the price

Personally I find the Longines very appealing, but can't speak to correctness on that example, sorry. :/

I love those omegas (with enamel dials?) - I think I could live with the dial damage, it's probably not noticeable from beyond 30cm away, but I think the case damage would irk me.

15k€ for both

Has the omega a porcelain dial ?

yes

Thank you all for helping me out with this. Could someone explain me the little perforations on the case (viewed on the movement photos)?

Exactly what I was asking 😉

On top of that isn’t the dial of the Longines too clean when compared with the case? The omega movement shows poor handling in the past, don’t you think? There are several scratches...

Ok. Looks like the dial has a crack as well. From the 5 to the center and the end is the repaired part..... If so, not worth buying in my opinion. These cracks are a timebomb. And the damaged case parts are steel deterioration. Solution would be micro welding and a restoration. Too expensive, too unclear in the outcome. Longines has the same problem. Kind regards. Achim

Thank you very much Achim! (And everyone else obviously). I will pass than...

I was not sure about the price as well but I search quality first!
Thanks again
