I have this Longines watch and I am not an expert when it comes to these watches. I believe its an old redial - more obvious on the sub-dial. Can someone confirm?

Why did you bid on it, if not sure about originality?

Don't really understand the question. knew it was repainted more or less as stated above. I mainly bought it for the parts (case primarly) if you are curious. I have a movement with dial. Just need to find it.😗

My apologies, didn't want to sound rude. Lot of people bid without even knowing what they bid for and then end up here disappointed. 🤔

Good luck with your project and don't forget to post it here when its done.::rimshot::

I was reminded of this 1937 curiosity yesterday and as I am 'at home' today thought I would give it a run out. Had a full movement service and is keeping excellent time.

Thank you Zapatta. It's on the smaller side at 32.5mm so only just wearable for me but it wears bigger I think.

Thank you and noted Syrte, I have a strange voice somewhere behind me that keeps saying similar things about "not buying", I just walk quicker to get away from the pesky noise 😗. I will look after it for you 😀, should I let it go someday.

On another note and at risk of criticism, the black lines were weak looking on the crown side so I strengthened them a little with tiny dots of acrylic gouache, not trying to repaint them as such, just make them more 'present'. I am quite pleased with how it turned out. It is easily removable should I change my mind. This is how it was
