And now paired up with a cousin, both Longines calibers 11.62- one delivered to France in 1916, and the other to the US in 1932.

Dial....icing, dial.....cake. Getting too existential for me, if the dial is THE cake, what, then, is the icing? 🤦😕😀

Well, it’s all totally subjective of course. If find it all quite likable.
But for me the icing is the center seconds with the nice radium hands. 😀

OK, impossible to disagree with that and I see a pattern developing (although for me the beefy looking seconds sweep is clearly a candle) but, is then the silver case a ribbon around the cake....no, enough already....bloody Bake Off!!😀 Lovely, elegant watches Syrte, great catches.

Not mine but I paid for it, I'm going to be his best man so I bought him a 431 blue dial with plenty of patina
