I was 31 and saw it in the theater with BMW dealer tickets.

I'm not a car guy, but dang, that BMW was sweet. Too bad it got cut in half! But, unlike GoldenEye, at least it was useful.

It wasn't even a real car, the Z8 wasn't ready yet, that one was a fiberglass mockup.

So I got my new "Daniel Craig" Seamaster yesterday. While it is basically a black Bond 60th (which I also have) I like it. Here are some pics for comparison. I bought a regular rubber strap and I have an extra "Bond" type bracelet which I might try. I bought it with the rubber strap and folding clasp - I have the Milanese bracelet with the Bond 60th and I can't stand it, so I skipped ordering it with this one.

Does the standard production SMP bracelet fit the Bond 60th or new black SMP?

Anyone know: are the new ones showing up at ADs yet, or are they OB/allocation only? I’m keen to see one in the metal, but maybe not so much that I’m willing to drive an hour to the nearest OB.

I just put the standard production SMP bracelet on my new SMP and it fits perfectly. And yes, that is the standard production SMP bracelet on my Bond 60th in the picture. They all seem to be the same case.

Here is a short video of the metal one my OB sent me when they sent me a video of my new black one.

That's good to know. Some people were complaining about the mesh bracelet when this was released. It's nice that the standard bracelet is an option. I realize you'd have to pay extra for the standard bracelet, but you could then sell the mesh to offset the cost (assuming you hated the mesh).

I was in the boutique today and tried the black on. Really nice, and the bracelet was ok. It has never fitted on others, but was good on this.

Interestingly, the fella in the boutique stated that the bracelet has a different part number to the bond and they think it might be slightly different. That would certainly fit with my experience today.

He also said the silver looks a lot better in the flesh than the pics suggest (they didn’t have one). Apparently they have sold out of the silver and have plenty of the black….

Interesting. Are you sure he was referring to the mesh bracelet from the Bond 60th and not the NTTD?

Yep. Definitely the bond 60th

Wouldn’t be the first time a boutique employee has been wrong however

It would be a first in fact if they were right. According to one recent contributor, his boutique guy said this release was to be a Planet Ocean! 😂

Yeah - I actually have a feeling it may just have been the shorter mesh which would make sense with the different ref number. That said, it fitted me better than any other I’ve tried, so maybe that’s the way forward.

It’s still not the best design however….

60% of the time it, it fits every time.

Love the look of it, but it's a clunky design with no micro adjustment. Had to sell mine when couldn't get a good fit. The OF member who bought it said it fit his wrist perfectly, so glad it worked out.

I got an invite to an event at my store next week and I’m hoping to finally see these and the bronze ones in the flesh 😬

I'm going to get rid of my NTTD because the mesh doesn't work for me and I don't like straps.

Were you able to try the short mesh?
It should make a big difference if your wrist is smaller than 18cm/7”.
Then again it might just be an expensive activity if the watch just isn’t for you anymore.

+1 for the short mesh. My wrist is 6.5 and the NTTD has been my recent daily.
