Steady on! 😀

I always try to avoid speaking in absolutes because very often there remains an element of uncertainty about these things and it's that uncertainty that many of us enjoy.

Whilst my own view is that Polarouters, SAS or otherwise, started life with signed crowns, I would never suggest that anyone who supports an alternative theory is doing so dishonestly.
I was referring to a specific comment I read recently denigrating those who believe that some Polarouters were sold with unsigned crowns, but now that comment seems to have been deleted from the website where I saw it.

...and by the way, here is the very same unsigned crown, on a non-Polarouter 138SS from the same period: https://omegaforums.net/threads/vintage-universal-geneve-20207-138ss-bumper.104658/

Thanks. We may never know.

Interestingly, some early monodatics (also Cal 138 bumpers) had the same shaped crowns as the first exec Polarouters with the scollaped edge. The difference between those crowns is that the Polarouter version was signed whereas the monodatic crown was not.

Are you coming to the Polerouter GTG? Would be nice to say hi.

My Polas and I could not make it to the GTG, unfortunately. Hopefully there will be more in the future. Any photos from the event?

I hugely enjoyed myself and I think the event was a great success.

There are a few photos in the GTG sticky thread and I've seen a few on Instagram (#poleroutergtg2019) although I think that most people were too busy enjoying themselves to remember to take photos until the very end.

Hi all, my name is Philip and I’m the grandson of Uno. I’ve been searching for that watch for ages, as it should been given to me, but somehow it disappeared. I’d like to know how it ended up at an auction…
Thank you!!

Maybe work with law enforcement in your area if that is applicable in this case, or an attorney?
