Thanks @Severin, amazing work and you've actually helped me work out what I bought (I'm not a UG collector, just bought this one on a whim because I liked it - although I think the dial seems to have gone brown)

Some of those dials go brown. Here's mine:

Genius thread.
I鈥檓 still not sure if mine is a redial or not, but had previously found one example with full crosshair/no markers

it may be the angle, but the crosshairs at 6, 9 and 12 do not meet the hour markers in a sensible way

This dial looks like a redial to my untrained eyes

I also think this is a redial I'm afraid. I think the crosshair going through the logo/shield is the giveaway.

This is my 138SS, what do you think?
I bought some time ago and I thought of being original because of the nice patina, but no swiss at all and fonts make me a bit suspicious...thanks for your help!

Not 100% sure but if I had to guess, then I would say redial for the reasons you state - the 'GENEVE' in particular looks suspicious and a bit spread out.

Is the case reference 20217-5? Compare it to others you can find on the internet.

Thanks. Yes that's the reference.

A redial, yes (compare the "E"s to each other), but not the worst around. No reason you can't continue to enjoy wearing it. The silver patina in particular is nice, and from the photos the lume plots look ok to me.

Let me contributed some late 60s to early 70s UG poletrouter no applied logo dial.
Many good pictures I found on google, but I own the Metal blue dial one.
So far this the best case style IMO.馃槤馃槤馃槤

I also like this case shape but I'm afraid yours is a redial if it is the blue dialled one 馃檨

Agreed, that looks fabulous. I was referring to the royal blue dialled version.

I cant tell from the bad photo, just looks like a gold capped polerouter jet date to me - need a better quality photo to judge properly though.
edit: in the very least, the seconds hand looks way too short.
