Ploprof Mark x variants?

Has it been determined just how many versions/editions of the Ploprof were created by Omega in the 1970s? I often hear mentioned the Mk1 and Mk2 and occasionally a Mk3 and Mk4 pops up in a google search or an ΩF search. Is there a definitive overview on what constitutes a Mk1, Mk2, etc., A few great threads here on the ΩF but mostly now old threads where I am sure more is now known. From those threads I have ascertained (rightly or wrongly) that a B1 bezel with a D1 dial (omegaploprof.com nomenclature I believe) would be considered a Mk1 and so on... sound about right? But what about cases? what about hands?

ps... Perhaps there is an updated book that ties the loose ends together post the Jon Wallis edition (2008?) that includes info found over the last five or so years about these dive watches from 1971-1979?

Pss... The omegaploprof.com website contains much valuable information but it just doesn't seem to tie it all together for me.

Sorry, I don’t think I can answer your question, but it gives me an excuse to post a picture of one of my favourite watches…
