@Left_Hand_Time

30 posts 🤦

Reported - clearly one of those who got in under the exemption. I think if you did get in that way, and are breaking the rules, you should lose your exemption...

Ugh so sorry guys - totally forgot about that (should have refreshed myself on the rules). Acknowledge my mistake and will bear in mind going forward. Please remove the listings/posts if need be. Again, my apologies for overstepping here.

Unfortunately, all but one of the 4 are bumping to post that it has been sold. This is a perfect example of why I dislike the policy of allowing bumping listings just to say it's sold.

Agreed- changing the tittle from FS to Sold achieves the same goal without bumping the post- I thought that was common sense.

According to Will Rogers, common sense ain't so common.

And to add to that- I have seen older FS posts that still show as FS but say sold in the listing as the last post- please change the prefix of the title to Sold.

I care less about this - I follow sale posts sometimes and a sold post or OHPF post gives me an alert. But.. I would still appreciate only one “sold” or “OHPF” post per day if they deem it’s necessary.

Funny you mention that. I inquired about a watch for sale on another forum that didn't show sold. The seller responded to my inquiry with SOLD! I suggested, in a not-so-subtle way, that marking it sold was a good way to stop interested parties from asking about it.

It's great that OF allows one to edit the title to mark a listing sold. In some other forums, one cannot edit a post (or title) after a certain amount of time passes. So if you want to change anything, including the price or status, the only option is to add a reply. Here, we don't have that problem, and when someone adds a final reply to say "SOLD", it always makes me think that they are doing it to call attention to themselves. "Look at me, I sold a watch. Thanks OF!" And then other people pile on: "Congrats on the sale."

Anyway, I don't think there's a realistic way to control any of this. But that won't stop me from ranting. 🫨

@Risto you can edit your OP and add new pictures instead of posting/bumping three times within 24h

@MarktheTime

Three posts on the same day.
Oy, sorry. Just added pics at the request of an interested party and didn’t think of it as bump,but I understand the concern that it is. My apologies.

You can always edit a previous post to add photos, which will not bump the thread, and is perfectly ok to do.
