Ouch, I hope you can get your money back. Just want to chime in and encourage you to hang around the forum and learn. Most of us have made some collecting mistakes. I make many fewer mistakes thanks to the very helpful and knowledgeable community here.

So i promised to get back and i had o long conversation with the seller that resulted in him offering me a 50% refund if I wanted to keep the watch. I took that deal and ended up paying about 600 euros for it. This felt ok for me, i still think it is a beautiful watch and hopefully i wont do that big of a loss if i sell it one day. But I learned alot and will stay atound the forum to keep learning more. Thank you all for your help! /Erik

I think that鈥檚 the wrong decision as it鈥檚 not a good watch at any price. However, if you鈥檙e happy what else matters.

In damage limitation mode - reducing the cost by 50% is very successful if the seller sold it with no returns applicable.

What are the rules with "no returns"?

In Australia, it's quite clear that "no returns" clauses are irrelevant.

So if the buyer initiates a "not happy Jan", they are entitled to a refund, but do not need to return the item?
Another convoluted eBay"rule".

That is when the seller is a business. In sweden we have different laws regarding if the seller is a business or private person
