Morning from sweden.
I bought this beautiful watch without having any omega or even vintage watch knowlage. I just fell over it in an auction site while looking for other things and just could not take my eyes of it.
After intensive searching and reading om the web i have a feeling that something is wrong. The seller says the dial has been refurbished, i can not find any other omega dial like it elswere, is it a new made up paintjob with an omega logo? The seller also list the watch from 1940, and that it correct according to the serial number on the movement itself, but on the back inside of the case the serial number says mid 1940s, could this big difference be natural? Last thing that looks strange to me is the case of the watch with the back open, there is no "ring" for holding the movement in place, according to the seller that is the case of this model, and it is suppose to be held by the back lid. I can not find an omega case that looks like this qhen tou open it?
It messures 37,5 mm without the crown. Please help, i payed alot of money for this watch...

Yet you had an high auto bid which yielded you the winning auction. Always do your homework before setting a (high) auto bid. Take it as a lesson for a slim chance of getting a jackpot. 17k swedish krona (easy Exchange to 1.7k USD) is alot for the state of that watch with the lack of references and the obvious warning signs

The date difference with the numbers means very little, many watches have different dates due to production etc.
The big problem is the dial and hands which are not original Omega and other points that have been raised above.

If you can return it you should do so without delay.
You may have a difficult time as we do not know how the seller described the watch, but if you knew the dial was "refurbished" before you bought it you may have to take the loss.

Seller was very sneaky, did not mention refurbished dial in the ad, did you contact him after the sale?

Yes i asked him about the case number since he said that the watch was from 1940, but how could it be since the case is newer. And he claimed that the dial was original but had been cleaned and touched up. And then he said that the watch was original...

Send it back as soon as you can with the reason "item not as described" listing all of the details described above and if required, state that item has a counterfeit buckle.

That鈥檚 an absolute pig but you really should do research before committing to a sale. However, to a greater degree sellers should be honest and transparent with their listings, so I agree, initiate a return asap and take it as a newb lesson - we鈥檝e all been there!

Yeah, i have sent an massage to the seller in all friendly spirit,

Another mistake!
You should not have discussed any further with the seller.
Anyway, you got advice, that's all we can do, good luck and I hope it works out for you.

Friendly is nice. But go straight to Tradera and report a fake Omega received. The Platform should deal with it, not you with the Seller.
