I bought the WOLF Cub watch winder. It rotates 900 times per day. I own an Omega Seamaster Professional 300m with a 8800 caliber movement. The movement is recommended to 650 rotations bi-directionally daily. If I use the Cub winder during the night only, do you think my watch is OK? LMK...? Thank you.

Normally wolf winders can be set to different numbers and directions.

but over winding and in one direction will not kill the watch.

If you wear it every day it doesn’t need a watch winder at all......;)

I just looked up the winder, and it appears that the program cannot be changed and that it is set to work for 6 hours and then sleep for 18. I suspect if you turn it off and on to only use it at night, it will still wind the 900 turns every night for 6 hours.

As others have said, if you wear the watch every day, just let it rest at night and all will be fine. Or let the watch rundown and then reset it. Or just leave it on the winder.

In the end, if you have the watch serviced on recommended intervals, it won’t matter what you do.

Are you sure? Some watches are CW and others CCW. At the price of a wolf winder I find it hard to believe it has no options.

I looked up the Wolf Cub owners manual on the Wolf website and it clearly states it is pre-programmed to 900 revolutions per day and cannot be re-programmed.

    https://www.wolf1834.com/media/wysiwyg/manuals/Preprogrammed_Winder_Manual_-_Cub.pdf

That agree with the OP's assessment, and I would assume Wolf knows how their winder works. :)

If this cannot be programmed to your spec, return it for one that can be.

    I’m not questioning Wolf....

Im massively surprised they sell something like that. I’ve got silent wonders that stack and daisy chain that are fully customizable for for a fraction of the cost of a wolf winder.

I have some crap winders that have all the functions. Basic DC motors are very easy to control with simple circuitry.
