First of all, congratulations on buying a new watch. So much fun! I just bought my first Rolex and I can attest to that anew. I am not a big fan of the Datejust - therefore I would focus on an AT albeit a different style - maybe the gray dial or the white dial with orange accents!

Since I want a Datejust to complement my Omega Bond Seamaster 2220.80, I would go with that. But really, you have to follow your heart.

At 10k Aussie you’ve walked past an awful lot of IWC or JLC to get to mid market humdrum watches.

I’m not dissing your choices though.

Your opinion on the DateJust versus Aqua Terra is quite welcome as the OP is soliciting thoughts on those two watches. Sadly, you didn't give an opinion on either. Apparently, owning a Speedmaster affects reading comprehension.

Apparently, you like being rude, yet you always flip out when others act crude just like you.

“Also, any other suggestions are ALL welcome. THANKS HEAP!!!!!”

Apparently hating Speedmaster affects reading comprehension.

Yeah, I know the Globemasters. To me it shares a few similarities with the datejust. Why would you choose the Globemasters over datejust ?
1. 39mm. 36mm just a bit too small. 41mm a bit too big. 39mm hits that sweet spot.
2. Pie pan.
3. Proportion. Bezel complements the watch, not overwhelms it.
4. 15000 gauss. Kicks Milgauss’ arse.
5. Looks great in both bracelet and strap. Mix it up.
6. Under the radar. You want people to know you wear an expensive watch? Go with Rolex. I prefer subtle elegance.

Why not GM? Crappy resale value. But you can pick it up at pretty significant discount.
I paid full retail for mine. No regret. Always come back to my it.

Both AT and DJ were in my top 3 choice when I ultimately picked GM.
