Planet Ocean - How long should it glow?

If all night glow is really crucial, then look at watches that contain tritium tubes e.g. Ball Watches, Nite Watches etc.

I have a couple of Luminox watches with tritium tubes. They are nowhere near as bright as the lume on the PO after it is hit with the light from a bright LED flashlight, but of course, they stay close to the same brightness for years (the half-life of tritium is 12.3 years), not just hours.

The point of this thread, was to see if the lume on my PO is lasting as long as it should. The general consensus is that I should be able to see the hands all night, even if they are fairly dim. I'm not sure that's the case. I'll give the hands and dial a good blast of light from the LED flashlight when I go to bed tonight. I'll be getting up for work at 4am tomorrow, so I'll see if there's any discernible glow left in the lume at that time.

Do you work or live in the dark?

Yes, both.
I work at night, and here in southern California, of the 24 hours in any calendar day, something approaching 12 of them are nighttime. 😀
