Here's a link to where myself and a few others used the 1154 clasp. It works fine without end links. I'm sure the titanium version will be the same.

If I remember correctly, yours is a 42mm. Would you expect the 45.5mm to fit too? I read through that thread you linked and I think that the 45.5 would work since it tapers to 20mm which is what the clasp takes. I think I’m now fairly confident that it’ll work

Oh, did you use the same clasp for both watches? I just assumed the 42 would be put on a smaller clasp. If they are the same clasp, then it makes sense for the 42 to require extra links. So I think i will be fine with just ordering the clasp. Thanks

Same clasp used in my Planet Ocean 8500 and 9300. But the 8509 needed the extra clasp links from the 300MC, for which the clasp was originally intended.

The Planet Ocean 9300 and other 45.5mm Planet Ocean with 22mm lugs, and 300MC with 21mm lugs all taper to 20mm. But the 42mm Planet Ocean 8500 bracelet tapers to 18mm and so it needed the links from the 300MC to adapt the clasp to fit the bracelet.

PS: this clasp was also a direct bolt on for both of my 20mm SMP Bond style bracelets, which don’t taper.

Yes mine is a 42mm, tapers to 18mm and it just bolted right on. The 1154 clasp is 20mm. It will look even better on yours. Mine has a 1mm gap on each side. It doesn’t bother me though.
Good luck

Perfect, thanks guys. Now I have to convince the local OB to order it. They’ve been very hesitant with this swap and they’ve been trying to convince me out of it. If they get cold feet I’ll just go elsewhere I guess... thanks again

Mine was at first too but eventually I convinced them. I printed off the other thread and took it to them. 😉

Having an issue with my clasp now, it won’t stay latched. I have the 117STZ00154 clasp, if someone could take a picture of theirs. I’m afraid I lost a spring inside the hole between the pushers.

Thanks in advance!
