Hi everyone,

I'm being offered a Seamaster Pro 300M ref. 2531.80.00, with serial number 80893642, which should place its production around 2004–2005.

The watch appears to be all-original in terms of case, dial, and movement - it has the Omega 1120 calibre and the caseback reference 166.1623, consistent with this model.

However, I have a question about the bracelet and clasp combination:

The bracelet is marked 1502/824, which I understand is correct or at least period-accurate for this model.
But the clasp is engraved "Seamaster Professional Planet Ocean", which seems to come from a different line altogether.

My questions:

Was the 1502/824 bracelet ever shipped with a “Planet Ocean” clasp?
Could this combination have been delivered by Omega toward the very end of the 2531.80’s production?
Or is this most likely a replaced clasp from a Planet Ocean model, mounted on a 1502/824 bracelet?

I’ll attach pictures of the bracelet and clasp for reference. The watch functions perfectly and seems otherwise correct - I’m just curious whether this configuration was ever offered from the factory or if I’m looking at a partial mismatch.

Thanks in advance for your insights!

Regardless of the clasp, the 1502/824 is the 36mm midsize model bracelet and not found on the 2531.80 which should be 1503/825.

I'd tread carefully with this one. This kind of mismatch makes me question the authenticity of the watch itself.
