I took some pics to compact to the original clasp. It’s almost identical in length with the only difference being the width. The 4666 doesn’t have the diver extension just FYI.

I got onto the AD with this new info. They replied that the 4666 is £60, as against £95 for the 1154. Result! 👍 So it's on order, even though Omega voiced slight concerns to the AD...

Good Afternoon,

The clasp is the same size as the customer’s original (18mm) so technically could potentially fit – we are aware that some customers have obtained the micro-adjustment claps and been able to fit it to their bracelet.

However, we would not recommend this as the clasp is not designed to fit different bracelets, as either piece could be damaged if the fit is not correct. The clasp attachments also could possibly not match with the link attachments of the bracelet.

We don’t advise fitting this clasp to another bracelet, but if your store is happy to order this for the customer and attempt it, then we will not restrict this.

Kind Regards,

Must have caught them on a "reasonable" day. 😀 I'll update when the job is done. Thanks again.

Man they really try to scare you out of purchasing it. Good thing we already know it works! 😉

UPDATE: Job done! AD got the part and I took it in today. The 4666 is the perfect swap - didn't need any fiddling about with the existing links, just took the old one off and put on the new one. There's not a lot of adjustability - just the 3 positions with about 2mm of travel between each one, but that's all I was after. In the over-priced world of watch bits and bobs, £60 seems like money very well spent.. 👍 😀

Big thanks again for the help here, especially to @nurseford25 !

Congratulations on the new fit! My understanding is that the 4666 is from the new 39.5mm Planet Ocean – and I'm just about to get one myself for my 42mm 2500 PO, but one thing I don't understand is whether or not it won't be a perfect fit. Where does the 'overhang' occur that guys are talking about? I know I'll need the saddle endlinks as the 2500 bracelets use a pin system, but I believe those links are 18mm at the clasp, so does this mean the clasp will overhand an extra 1mm on each side of the bracelet where it buckles?

Yep, the 4666 is 20mm wide so on a bracelet that tapers to 18mm at the endlinks it will be 1mm "wider" on each side. I actually think it looks better than the original clasp which aligns perfectly, for some reason..

Appreciate the clarity – good to hear, I suppose? Any chance you've got a shot of how this looks? I guess if the clasp is long enough, it tapers along with the bracelet so that the overhand isn't evident, but as long as it's secure, and easily adjusted, I think I'd be perfectly happy with it.

Here you go. As you can see, the level of adjustment doesn't really affect the amount of overhang width-wise. You're only talking about 4-5mm difference from fully extended to least extended.

That's awesome! It’s one of my best accessory purchases and yep you can’t beat that price!

@Mozziebite sorry but I am confused.

4666 is 20mm wide (on the outer side of the claps) and 18mm wide inside, which means it takes 18mm PO bracelet and there is no loose between the bracelet and inner side of the clasp?

Or, it's 22mm outer side, takes dy default 20mm bracelet which makes 2mm of loose between the bracelet and inner side of the clasp?

Thanks for clarification.

I just went to our local AD and they tried to order the part and Omega Canada won’t let them order it. They said it wasn’t designed for that watch so they wouldn’t sell the part to the AD. I guess if I really want one I’ll have to try to source it elsewhere. I ended up removing a full link, getting a second half link, adding both half links to the 12 o’clock side and now the fit is pretty much how I like it. It would be nice to have the micro adjustment though. Heaven forbid someone come up with a good idea other than the company. I guess they want me to go buy another Omega just to get the micro adjustable clasp. 🙄

Costa Mesa OB offered it to me when I walked in with my 3313 POC with no prompting... They will do it, your AD either just doesn't know or want to deal with it.

Yeah it was offered to me without even asking at this same boutique. Try a boutique instead of the AD.

I’m sure you’re both correct. The closest OB is in Toronto which is a PITA to get to for me. I found one on EBay and bought it. It likely cost me an extra $75 but at least I’ll have one. I got the 1154 clasp as I have a big hand and wanted the bracelet to open a bit further. As it turns out, I couldn’t find the 4666 unit on there anyway. I really appreciate the information you guys have posted here. It answered every question I had about replacing my clasp. 👍

I received the clasp I bought on EBay, I installed it and it fits wonderfully. I’m very pleased. The AD ended up pushing Omega Canada a bit and they have ordered one for me as well. I’ll put it on my son’s watch when it arrives. Every Planet Ocean should have this clasp. They’re great. My watch fits perfectly now!

Awesome! Glad it worked out for you. I’m wearing mine today. Still the best accessory I’ve purchased for any watch.
