Chitownwatches.com is highly recommended and they have an exceptional reputation. I have purchased from them and they are one of the few vendors I will deal with.
Thanks though that doesn't seem to be uk.

So watchfinder have admitted they shouldn’t have sent the watch out, they have offered to replace the screen and cover my costs so fingers crossed now.

That is a good compromise, new sapphire will solve issue. Make sure it is genuine Omega part and done by Omega authorized watchmen, if done by them ( or ask for $300-350 USD credit and have it done on your end)

Thanks , yes they are an authorised Omega service centre so seems legit.

Hi folks , after reviewing the SMPc and PO, I’ve decided on the new PO. I quite like the smaller size and my better half thinks it fits better. Any downsides in picking the 39.5mm 8800 versus the larger? Thoughts welcome. This is for eveyday use including work.
Last pic with both in hand is fire!!!!! Still deciding to go for 395 PO OR SUB C no date

Odd question But I wonder if there is a drawback to the 8800 movement compared to the 8900 ?

I don’t think so. It’s got about 5 hours’ less reserve (55 vs. 60), and only one main spring instead of two. That’s about it, as far as I know.

The 8800 also doesn't have the 'time travel' feature with the independently adjustable hour hand – a signature for 8500 and 8900-series movements. Not a big deal for some, but personally I love the IAHH so for me it's a deal-breaker.

That's fair. However, with the 8800 you do get a quick-set date in compensation. So it's buyer's choice, but not necessarily a disadvantage. My understanding is that with the 8500/8900, you have to adjust the hour hand around the dial to get to the proper date, which makes setting the date sound like a pain if you let your watch run down for a week or two. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I like the 43.5 . I just think the PO is meant to be worn large.

You're correct. I don't find it an issue as my watch is a daily wearer and so the only time I need to advance the date is during a month with 30 days (so only 4 times a year).

Sounds like bad customer service- I will stay away from Watchfinder. Also sorry to be the one to say, that price is only marginally less than the current recommended Omega price for a new PO 39.5, so Watchfinder may have sold you a bill of goods in more ways than one. Once you get refunded, I bet you can find a bigger discount on a new, unworn version from an AD somewhere. I hope it all works out. 👍
A company called Watchfinder.co.uk has my Rare Vintage Omega Seamaster 300 - 165.024
I sent it to them back in December for them to appraise and use as a exchange for another watch I wanted.
The watch they shipped me was damaged in shipment (improperly packaged and under insured at $1,000)I have a letter from FedEx they denied the claim.because of insufficient packaging.
Watchfinder offered me £250 for the damages and inconvenience.I turned down the offer.
They later agreed to refund me my deposit and shipping costs and return my watch to settle.
I shipped the watch back to them at a cost of $328.84.After receiving the watch they would not return my emails fora week?
I filed a Negative review with TRUSTPILOT because of the poor customer service.

When they did respond they stated they felt I had damaged the watch and wanted me to pay £250 before they would return my watch.and wanted the negative review removed.(starting to sound a little like EXTORTION??)
I have filled a fraud complaint with actionfraud.police.uk and have a case number.
I want my watch back but do not trust these people to send them money, they have lied to me twice now.
I have a total of $575.66 out of pocket . Deposit/shipping/customs fee's.
I feel that they are lying to me again and have sold my watch,I have contacted Omega they offered to put the watch in their stolen watch data base.
I have also reported to Trading Standards UK and citizensadvise.org.uk .
They are in violation of "The consumer Rights Act 2015 That gives me a right to return the watch in 15 days for a full Refund.
At this point they will not answer any of my requests, forcing me to take legal action.
There is NO TRUST when you are treated like this in Business!

It's tougher than buying a car deciding on those sizes. I always make the mistake of not looking in a full size mirror with the watch on if I think it is too big or small. The only technical difference is it has a single barrel inside and the power reserve is about five hours less. I am not sure what the difference with a single and double barrel besides that small window of a power reserve. I always say to myself is this watch going to get in the way of bumping into things (silly thought) but I think that. Good luck.
Did they remove the jumping hour hand too?

I recently purchased the 39.5, and i find it fits so much better than the 43.5. Had the 43.5 before but sold it awhile back. My wrist is 6.5''.

Looks fantastic that. I'm liking how the new bracelet style doesn't have the first end link project out of the watch head and make it bigger. That's always annoyed me about the Omega bracelets up until now (and continues to do so on my Speedy 9300 bracelet).
