Hi folks , after reviewing the SMPc and PO, I’ve decided on the new PO. I quite like the smaller size and my better half thinks it fits better. Any downsides in picking the 39.5mm 8800 versus the larger? Thoughts welcome. This is for eveyday use including work.

The 39 looks like a good size for your wrist. How is thickness?

It's tougher than buying a car deciding on those sizes. I always make the mistake of not looking in a full size mirror with the watch on if I think it is too big or small. The only technical difference is it has a single barrel inside and the power reserve is about five hours less. I am not sure what the difference with a single and double barrel besides that small window of a power reserve. I always say to myself is this watch going to get in the way of bumping into things (silly thought) but I think that. Good luck.

No downside and at 39 you have a slightly more dynamic and flexible choice.

I'd pick 39.5. I think my 6-3/4 inch wrist size is too small for the 43.5.

Yeah the 39.5 wearable much slimmer than the 43.

I went through the same decision process and ended up going with the 39.5. To me, 39.5mm is the perfect size for the Planet Ocean. The 43mm one just looks/feels too chunky to me.

I think in the new PO the larger seems more barrel shaped. The last gen PO got away with it as it was a larger diameter.

I've got a 45 from the last gen but if I was buying now I think I'd lean towards the smaller.

If my girlfriend wasn’t with me when I picked up my RMLE, I swear I’d come home with 2 Omegas. The 39.5mm blue PO is FANTASTIC on my 6.75in wrist!

I'm a huge fan of the PO, I wanted black as well but my AD only had blue in the new 8900. I believe blue is more versatile than some think. It can go from a dark gray to bright blue depending on the light. I have the 43.5mm my wrist is 7" around. The many shades of PO blue ZrO2... IMG_1625.JPG IMG_1627.JPG IMG_1608.JPG IMG_1609.JPG
