Swing on over anytime you are in NYC.

Make sure to come to Barnegat or manahawkin when you open your jersey location. Looks good!

This weekends pies. I’m really happy about achieving the desired cornicione. My best results are with dough cold fermented 7 days.

Great pictures everyone! Just so happens Janice made a couple pizzas for last night's Sunday dinner. One's obviously a pepperoni and the other's a hippie-style spinach and onion jobbie. 😁

Great thread. Pizza is probably my #1 favorite food.
I don't have any pictures on hand, but I use an Ooni pellet pizza oven and it is pretty great. Easy to use and pumps out some great pies in under a minute.
It's small, so we usually will go buy a bunch of ingredients, and do a handful of assorted "personal" pies.

Don't know if you tried it yet, but when Janice isn't making her own we get take-out from Jay Luigi's on 4th. It's about the best we've found in town so far. We hail from New Haven so obviously nothing will come close to Modern or Pepe's but Jay Luigi's is pretty damn good.

Yes! Had some of their pies and pastas. Not a bad little joint!

This is one of the most beautiful threads on the site, even as a vegetarian I appreciate the talent you guys have, four cheese pizza is my personal favorite with some chili or hot sauce mixed in

Funny you mention your preference. I make a cheese pizza (fresh mozzarella and fontina) and I add a tablespoon of crushed Calabrian hot peppers to the crushed San Marzano tomatoes. It’s one of my favourites. Simple and deliciously hot!

Make a small pizza with just garlic butter and cheeses for the entree usually.

Weirdly I’ve got no pics of pizza I’ve made, only dough (my daughter stretching and folding) and bread … the 3 pizza pics are from Verona (good) Dusseldorf (ok) and Riomaggiore (Invicta) - all on work trips. Bizarrely the Riomaggiore place served awesome Barolo in takeaway coffee cups for 8eu a glass… that at least was awesome. Looks like my trip in March will include Naples, Rome and Bologna - so if anyone has any good pizza joint recommendations, pls let me know.
Next time I make pizza, will post a pic … usually the best I can manage is a 3 day ferment.

I think it’ll be hard to get bad pizza in Naples!

Had a chicken pizza in San Diego… that was ranch dressing instead of tomato sauce on the base…. Beautiful. (Wouldn’t have thought of it) Cool pizza places that were on base at Camp Pendleton that had pizza ovens on the back of old fire trucks.

Just got home from volleyball and made a similar pizza with mushroom. 👍👍
Sorry no pictures as didn’t last long.

Faz Faz
Tonight’s session…
We love our Ooni pizza oven, and use it at least once a week. No photos to share; maybe next time.

Faz, does your apron say what I think it says?

I’ve never made a deep dish pizza before, but my wife requested earlier in the week, so got a dough rolling and the into the fridge, out today for lamination, final rise and assembly, it was pretty tasty
