One of the best purchases I've made is a Big Horn pizza oven.

If you are happy to make your own dough and plan ahead (dough is better left to rise in the fridge for a day or two) home made pizzas can be outstanding but you need to use quality ingredients. A guy on TV said...

...put sh1t in and get sh1t out!

Absolutely bang on in my books.

This is not the kind of content I expected to find when I joined but I am all kinds of here for it. Following this to hopefully find some good tips and tricks. Hope to post my own creation at some point!

Made pizza today (and a little roll) forgot to photograph the finished pizza…
Very high hydration dough- more like a ciabatta or focaccia formula

Haven't fired mine up for months, but I love that thing!
Yeah, it's great. I have the propane one but have been impressed when I've seen the one that takes wood.

Mine is just the pellet oven. Had it for a couple of years now and it is a good time.
We'll usually have people over and make a few different "flavors" ending up with about 12 little 'za's.
Plain cheese and pepperoni for the kids - but we get a little wild with some of the other ones.

Sounds like our house - been surprised by how good fig jam with some crazy cheeses can be.
