    loving that patina, whats the serial on that explorer 2, mine is a 97 U serial and its got hints of change but not quite there yet

    Regarding the Explorer I, if someone would make an guesstimate, how many prefer the 36mm to the 39mm? Is there any data available comparing sales of the two models available? Thank in advance for any information.

    if it helps, i like the 36mm way more and have both the 14270 and 114270, but will never consider the 39mm. There are polls for this on the rolex forums, much more fan boys, i mean bigger fan base there.

    Personally, I prefer the 36mm as the proportions are better...

    The 36mm is perfect IMO. I don’t mind the 39 but Rolex tried to change a perfect and timeless watch by altering proportions to please the modern oversized watch crowd and it’s just not as good.

    I have plenty of black dial watches and I have to say that the polar stands out among them all. Hoping to upgrade into a tritium full set in the future.

    Not really wild, but I nearly made it outside last week - 36mm works for this Watch and works for me too.
