The more I’ve studied these long “o” dials they kind of remind me of milk glass. My wife has a ton of that stuff she bought from antique stores for baby showers, etc. I’ve even held my watch up to some side by side. Very similar look.
My sub is my go to explorer watch...at least until I pick up an explorer or ex2. But it’s gone on some adventures with me this summer.
I am really excited! My new Explorer 214270 MKII will be on my wrist tomorrow! In true Expolorer fashion, it will be my watch of choice for my West Highland 97 mile hike in Scotland in the summer. Pictures of unboxing to follow tomorrow. I got this watch to mark a new transition in life. I’m an Ironman athlete. I’m breaking away somewhat from racing and going to enjoy traveling and adventurous pursuits. What better watch? My Sea Dweller wasn’t doing it for me anymore so I sold it. I envision wearing my Explorer in most situations as it is such a classic looking watch. I wanted simple stated elegance. To me, this watch delivers.
It’s not in the wild yet because it just came in but you have pictures of the und boxing in the final wrist shot complete with glass of wine. Cheers guys!
recently visited Europe for the last month, Here's my trusty companion at the Landesmuseum in Zurich In the famous Beyer Watch and Clock Museum also Zurich Close up of the famous Explorer at the Cern Super Collider in Paris
