IMO the 2915 through 105.003 with broad Arrow or Alpha hands are the most stunning watches of the time! Absolutely love these!
That's an amazing collection you got there [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122][emoji122][emoji122] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sometimes, a watch that, at one point, had deteriorated beyond the point that the term "patina" might still apply. This one came to me in a gold shell case that had been totally hammered, and with a disgraceful dial. Movement requiring a LOT of work! I have resurrected it to the point that it is now presentable. The movement is an early 1950s caliber 351 bumper automatic, and the case and dial I uncovered in a box of bumper Omega parts. All that is lacking is a genuine Omega crystal to replace the modified generic crystal, and an Omega crown. Oh yes! The bracelet will go, eventually. After a lengthy struggle to discover why it ran so poorly, I finally "twigged" this morning. I got out my Seitz jewelling tool and raised the top rotor bearing jewel about 0.05 mm, and voila! Fixed! Not as perfect an example as appears elsewhere on this MB, but who doesn't have at least one "survivor" in their collection. I quite like the colour of the aged replacement dial.
I love the look on my Nivada Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver. Ghost bezel with a slight hint of plum, custard yellow tritium on the dial, and crispy unpolished case. It all works so nice together!!
Sure, let's see what my limited collection has (=reposts) @blubarb's watch previously, which I was very grateful to get. @peatnick's watch, which was my first purchase from the forums. New crystal for the 'watch-head only' contest. An @Syrte recommendation. Can't wait for it to come back from servicing! Most recent acquisition; traded a smaller Mido for it to a gentleman who needed 'a clearer dial.' This one continues my love affair with Cetinas
