Sometimes a watch just looks incredible with patina that can only come from years of use and love! Dials can especially look amazing with the effects that time can have on them. Faded and tropical dials, original lume that has become a creamy yellow, a black dial that's become chocolate or just different effects that happen to a dial over time. Let's see your watches that have been "Patina'd to Perfection" over the years!! Here is my 844. A true tool watch in every sense of the word. Full disclosure, while the lume has been redone, the rest is simply the beauty that comes from lots and lots of use!
This thread I can get behind. This is the same watch in my avatar. Breitling Navitimer A30022. The subdials have turned a color I would describe as a warm toasted marshmallow and the numerals a creamy creme brulee (pre-caramelization). What I would truly consider the perfect patina.
Very cool thread. I specifcally bought this watch because of the patina. My Ploprof 1200 is nice and shiny, I wanted this one to show its age. View attachment 215458
