Seller wants $1700 OBO, obviously that's a high price compared to what these usually go for, so i'm trying to think of a fair offer to send (if no one sees anything wrong with the watch) no pictures of the movement in the listing, unfortunately, however i did ask and am waiting for a reply about that. Please if anyone notices something wrong with anything in the pictures, point it out to me.

Seems to be a nice example, but price is really high for this exemple...
Do you have any pics of the movement? Does it has been serviced?

I sent a message to the seller asking for pictures of the movement, and asking for info on service history but he hasn't replied yet.

So cosmetically speaking, you don't see anything off about the dial or anything?

That is a nice watch but its a fair ways off the asking price, I’d also really want to see the movement.

Provided the movement is fine, but didn’t have a service I’d estimate ~500USD less would be realistic including a brick bracelet. If this bracelet is more valuable than the brick style there might be a premium for that. Does look nice, though!

I 100% agree with you about the price.

If the seller sends me pictures of the movement, i'll post them in this thread.

Doesn't look to me to have been serviced. The day indicator is out of alignment. Also, there looks to be cracks at the top of the crystal. depending on how noticeable these are in real life you might not want to change it as it looks to be original (Omega logo at centre of crystal).

Maybe the prices of these has shot up recently, but I can't see that as more than an $900 watch, especially if it needs a service. That said, I'm not familiar with the bracelet which might considerably add to the value of the package.

Seller sent some pictures. Also, he told me the day function works as normal, it was just in the middle of changing over at the time of the picture. And also that the marks on the top of the crystal are just scratches, not cracks.

He also said he isn't aware of the service history, but that "its keeping good time" so its probably due for a service, lol.

I don't believe thats the right clasp/bracelet, can anyone chime in on that?

Looks like some rotor wear there. I'd get a photo of the inside of the caseback to confirm.

It is a very nice case and dial, but at that price, you can find an example with a better condition caliber 751.

Yeah, you’ll end up paying a significant sum for a service on an already overpriced watch. If you can be a little patient and scroll through the classifieds here and eBay regularly there will be better opportunities within a reasonable time span.
Time is the relevant factor, though. If you want it now, you don’t want to put in more work but don’t mind overpaying by a couple hundred USD then go ahead. And I don’t mean this sarcastically!

Agreed. It just sucks, as i've been chasing after this exact model for a while now, and so far all of the ones i've come across have been in rough shape.

I wouldn't mind over paying if the movement was in better condition.

Bump. Seller still has the watch, and I haven't found another in similar condition for sale yet.

Thinking about going for it and making an offer, but a second opinion before I do so would be appreciated.

As noted above, the rotor has significant wear on it where its been rubbing against the inner case back

Get a photo of the inside of the case back to confirm

even then, you need to factor 400-500 for a service

so top whack for me would be £1000 to 1200

Just buy this one in 3 hours with a single bid: https://www.ebay.com/itm/114826293341

Same condition watch for less than half the price - by same condition, they both have ~ok movements, and they both have ~meh dials with ruined pips but intact coating

Mine is better imo, it looks cleaner without the magnifier
