Opinion on this VC

Was wondering if anyone could give me an opinion on this watch. I inherited one just like it from my uncle and foolishly sold it years ago, so would like to get another one if possible. But I'm suspicious of this one.The dial looks exactly the same as mine, but I know VC wasn't stamped on the back. I don't know when my uncle bought his, but it had to be over 40 years ago, so I assume this is an older watch. Anyway, I know I'm going down a dangerous path here, because I know virtually nothing about these watches, but any observations or advice would be greatly appreciated!

If authentic, this would appear to be a relatively recent (last 30 years) watch that was inspired by vintage VC from the '40s and '50s.

Thank you! I hadn't thought of that. Unfortunately the seller provides no information at all.

This should be a VC Les Historiques reference 31045 in yellow gold. Looks authentic to me. Probably dates to around 1990s/2000.

Lovely watch but relatively small at 32mm.

Could very well be that your uncle's watch was very similar but much older.

Thanks for your help! My uncle died in 1998 and I know he had it when I was young (and I'm 59 now). I sure didn't remember it being so small. Not sure how it would look on my 6.75" wrist. Thanks again. Ethan
