Hi there, I have seen this watch for sale. It is described as a 'military style Omega'. So I looked up the reference on the Omega vintage database and noticed that all the ck2175 are described as medicus. When I was searching for this reference here in the forums, I read that not all ck2175 were advertised as medicus at their time. I have managed to find some dials with a similar setup, yet none exactly matching this 2175. Looking at the pictures provided From the ad, the lug holes seem to almost fall out of the lugs - at least one of them already did... The missing swiss or swiss made seems to be authentic. The seller asks for 800USD which I think is too much, but I would be willing to pay a premium if everything checks out and if the problem with the lug holes would be a minor one (which I'm afraid, is probably not...) What is your opinion? And sorry for the quality of the pictures, that's all I have got... Thank you for helping me out! Best, Stephan Edit: The scratches are, according to the seller, on the glass only
Hmmm... No feedback so far... Any opinions on the dial? Do you think it's authentic or do you see red flags? Thanks for helping out! Best, Stephan
The lug holes...I would pass. Maybe that can be repaired - and I have no experience with even considering that work - but I kind of doubt it. Is it possible that you are so smitten with the dial that you can’t see the extent of the lug problem?
Hi DaveK, Thanks for your answer. You're probably right. I did see the problem with the lugs though, but I was hoping some of you have experience with fixing them at a reasonable price. As this obviously isn't the case, I will most probably pass this one.
