Found this watch for $350CAD, wondering if it is worth it to restore?
And is it too old to be serviced?

Couldn't find much info on this watch, does anyone know the model/name?

Thank you SO much in advance 😀

Dial is a "fantasy redial" on a supposedly recased/re-purposed pocket watch

And it’s not a military watch or a pilot watch, or a military pilot watch.

I thought the triangle with the two dots at the twelve o'clock position was a feature for pilot watches?

Sorry but that’s hogwash.
The answer is— not at all. And if you want to learn to identify true military pilot watches, you’re going to have to do like everyone, spend months studying them. The best source is the Military Watch Ressource Forum.

This is a poor attempt to imitate the design of German WWII pilot watches called « B-Uhr »- except Omega never made those. Also, the subdial on the side shows they just flipped a pocket watch.
Finally someone experienced can just see the dial is a new production. There’s a cottage industry in Ukraine which specializes in making those.

Thank you for the info, now I know that the jeweler that's reselling this watch, sells fakes!

Welcome, you should create your own thread instead if you want people to pay attention.
Your watch has nothing to do with this thread.

Great job, @Syrte, you are rockin' !
Dear @UncleBuck, WWII military pilot watches are what got me interested in vintage watches in the first place. They are what I studied first and foremost. 😉
