I placed online orders for two extracts in two weeks. I live in the states and I “accidentally” put US Virgin Islands instead of United States (Otherwise you cannot get to payment screen). 6 days later the first Extract was available in my account. I ordered a second one and it was just posted online. The weird thing? Look what came in the mail yesterday from Switzerland. The Printed Extract! I expect the second one in the mail just near Christmas. YMMV.
It looks like the extract was mailed to the US Virgin Islands. Or was that just tacked onto the end, and the rest of the address is your actual address in the continental US?
It was mailed direct to me in the US and the address was my complete US address with USVI on the bottom line of the address. Apparently it’s all about the zip code.
Did you put US Virgin Islands on the form when it asks for your address? Or did they add that to the last line on their own?
I once ordered a camera from one of those large NYC outfits. I was living in Missouri at the time and the store put MS as the state, but the correct zip code. It went to Mississippi where it bounced around until someone figured it out and wrote "try Missouri" on the label. Zip codes won't guarantee correct delivery, they should, but don't.
Yes. I “accidentally” chose USVI from the online drop down form. Order an Extract and you’ll see what I mean. Early this morning I received an email that my order for the second Extract shipped. Then I was able to download the extract from my online Omega account. I will post back when I receive it in the mail.
This morning I received my second extract in the US Mail. Confirmed that it worked both times for me.
Thanks for the tip. I tried several times to get to the payment page and it would not allow me to until I put US Virgin Islands in as country. Hopefully, it will arrive in CT.
I have been on the Omega site before and navigated to ordering an extract. Now I can’t get to the page, am I daft or has the path to the extract been extracted? Figured it out finally, wouldn’t accept my payment. Now I got figure out why bank rejected, got fraud text for transaction.
I think that is correct if you are in the US. You can still link to the site directly via a Google search. You think that the people at Omega aren't reading these threads? It's very easy for them to close down the back doors left by shoddy programming. I hope their watchmakers are better than their webmasters! gatorcpa
Next month the US Post Office will be curious why 200 similar envelopes are all being sent from Switzerland to different addresses in the U.S. with USVI at the end...
