One forum to rule them all and in the darkness bind them
One watch to find them all and in the temporal realm remind them.

The rest are just corroded rusty lumps of metal that I waste time on hitting command-R looking for more damaged lumps of metal in which to ...

The METAS office is a door in the Omega building….and Rolex in house testing that’s better than COSC is the door next to the staircase that leads to the underground mine that they get their magic 904 steel from (same steel they make beer and wine vats out of) (( as a knife maker there is nothing special about Rolex steel ))

Marketing is wonderful 😉

Got to disagree there I’m afraid. I can assure you that Rolex steel is far and away the best at picking up scratches

Isn't a "Collection", by definition, more than one?

A bit late to the party but the Seamaster Pro 300m diver gets my vote here. Vintage midsize if you've got small wrists like me. Accurate timekeeper. Durable enough to wear to the beach or diving. Dressy enough to wear with a suit at work. Lots of different dial options. Priced right and readily available for purchase. And unlike a Rolex Sub or GMT, it won't get you mugged or killed if you're visiting some of the dodgier parts of the world. This was my "one watch collection" until a few years ago:

If one wants something dressier but at the expense of water resistance, then the Seamaster Aqua Terra could do it all.

I think the Speedmaster Moonphase is an interesting model. I haven’t seen it in person but I really like the look of it and think it definitely qualifies, especially in that unlike the Speedmaster professional it is 10 bar.
