Dragging out this recent thread, I thought I'd show a couple of the wood jewelry boxes I use for some of my watches (some of the ones less than 36mm or so). They are stored, as you see, on their sides, and are situated so as not to come into contact with adjacent watches in ways that might scratch. I can fit quite a few into a relatively small (8-9 x 5-6 x 2.75") box, which gets stacked in the safe
.
has anybody tried the case club?
almost 2 william's for this...not cheap but this is something that i need
i think i need to go to the 32 holder to be on the safe side for $7.oo moar.....haaa

The Pelican-ish look on this box is actually quite cool. I prefer that over the prevailing wooded look mostly shown. As a side note - what is wrong with storing the watches in the boxes they came in originally?
i suppose nothing if you have a couple. but we are sick folks and members of the double digit club
And in which way does the latter keep you from storing the watches in the original boxes? Personally I do not have troubles storing my double digit...
B bbgbg06I'm a big fan of these Juvo Luxury boxes. They're pricey but feel fantastic, are super sturdy, and a few of them have these great illustrations up top that add a little whimsy..!
I must say I really dislike all these boxes. These watches should be in the boxes they came in!!!!

Just be aware that pelican cases, and other sealed cases, seal the environment IN as much as it seals it OUT. Moisture inside will stay there, doing its work relentlessly, to your detriment. Its why you never store firearms in cases either.
Personally would never ever store watches in a sealed case for this reason. And to those who would say 'but my watch is waterproof, its doesn't matter'....water vapor and liquid water are too very different things.

Right. That’s why a “waterproof/resistant” watch should never be worn in the shower. Steam molecules are much smaller than water droplets. A Rolex dealer warned me about this way back in the ‘80s when I bought my Submariner.
So steam can get into a waterproof watches seals 😗?
Wore a 200m WP watch 24/7 for nearly 15 years and never had a issue. Swam in salt water oceans, chlorine pools, fished, body surfed and showered daily.
(Tag Heuer’s must be great watches)
