    Hi guys,
I am thinking of asking MrsCanberra for a funky watch box for my birthday. Not a mass produced one, but more of an artistic one, like

Do you have any cool artistic watch boxes?

    Those are great looking boxes!

Call me paranoid, but I keep my watches in a hidden & immoveable safe at home when not on the wrist. A good friend had several valuable watches stolen during a break in - the ones in his display case. Those in his sock drawer - equally valuable - went untouched.

Hmmm, maybe I'll get one after all, and fill it with cheap Swatches as a decoy. ::psy::

Invictas are better bait, and it hurts less to lose them than a Swatch or two.

Actually, I think the feeling of the loss of a few Invictas would be almost euphoric.

Dragging out this recent thread, I thought I'd show a couple of the wood jewelry boxes I use for some of my watches (some of the ones less than 36mm or so). They are stored, as you see, on their sides, and are situated so as not to come into contact with adjacent watches in ways that might scratch. I can fit quite a few into a relatively small (8-9 x 5-6 x 2.75") box, which gets stacked in the safe.

So what's the recipe for the box?
Carcass looks nice, lid insert nicer, and what are the insert drawers?
Looks like a real quality hand made object.

So I'm looking for a good recommendation on a watch storage box. I have a few winders, and I would like to have this one strictly for storage. Could anyone make any recommendations on a storage box. I'm thinking about going with an aluminum glass topper, but I can't find one built to the standards I like.
