Hi everyone, I'm totally new to the world of Omega (and watches in general) so I could use your help. I'm buying an Omega watch as a remembrance of my grandfather who passed away 2 weeksago. He was a huge Omega fan. I've got my eye on a watch that is likely to have been built around his birthyear 1938. Would you mind checking if this watch is a legit Omega? Thanks!

(Sorry for posting this twice, smartphone issues made me think it didn't work the first time.. )

This watch looks legit to me, but the movement needs a service.

It looks legit, but the movement is a bit rough and I suspect it's tiny. Do you know the size?

That's fine then. I was thinking it might be smaller.

Any indication on price? Seller is asking 350 euro's. Reasonable?

I think the asking price is probably ok. Overall, the condition is only so-so, but it's legit, and if the watch is aesthetically appealing to you, that's important. The main issue is whether the movement will be a money pit, because it does look rough in a way that suggests water damage. You will probably need to find an experienced watchmaker and be prepared to pay your original investment again in repairs. It could be less, but I'd go into it assuming that the movement could need some work.
